Tyler Demora

My relationship with food started early. As a very young kid, I loved making peanut butter cookies for my parents. They’d ask, “Hey Ty, can you make us cookies?” and I would. I didn’t know it then, but that feeling — being asked to cook for someone, being trusted with it — stayed with me.

I’ve spent my life in kitchens since. I’ve worked all over the country, learned under tough chefs, endured high-pressure environments, and earned my skin the hard way. I cooked at Aqua in San Francisco from 2006–2008, trained in discipline and precision at Union League Cafe, and later became chef at Local 121, where I spent four years leading a kitchen and finding my own voice.

Food, to me, is memory.

I want people to remember the night they ate my pasta, my pizza, or the meal I catered for them — the way you remember a dish your grandmother made, or a restaurant you will never forget. I want the food to stay with them long after the plates are cleared.

Demora’s Kitchen exists to honor that idea. Whether it’s elevated catering, Jam City Pizza, or Feelin’ Saucy Pasta, everything I serve is built from experience, pressure, repetition, and care. No shortcuts. No pretending. Just food meant to matter.
